Fells Prospect Mission Statement
Fells Prospect is a non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers within the Fells Prospect neighborhood. It was founded in 1997 under the name ‘Concerned Citizens of Upper Fells Point and West Canton,’ to address such issues as crime, beautification, parking, land use, social activities, and other matters essential to the welfare of the community. Renamed Fells Prospect Community Association in [200?], the association maintains its role in these activities, while also , serving as the community’s link to with city council members, the Mayor, and state officials. The Fells Prospect mission is:
- To advocate, via the Fells Prospect Community Association (FPCA), the preservation of the greater Fells Point area as a historic residential neighborhood;
- To preserve and promote the quality of residential life throughout the Fells Prospect Community;
- To encourage the enforcement and maintenance of zoning ordinances protecting the residential community;
- To foster the growth of a neighborhood identity and community spirit.
